K and I enjoyed our relaxing weekend away in San Diego (a big thanks to my Dad for our stay at the new Kimpton Hotel Palomar!). Saturday morning, our trip started off with a visit to Balboa Park via a cute, red tram followed by believe-it-or-not K's first visit to a zoo. Then we headed toward the bay for some delicious BBQ at Kansas City BBQ (the location for the "sleazy bar scene" in Top Gun!) and to take in the views at the Maritime Museum and the iconic "victory kiss"statue. Saturday evening we had amazing guacamole and tacos at La Puerta topped off by a chocolate ice cream sundae from the Ghirardelli factory. We headed home Sunday morning after a scenic drive through La Jolla village and snapping some gorgeous pictures at La Jolla cove. Great, great weekend :)
