When I graduated from college and my girlfriends and I stumbled upon the
place that has been home to us for the past two years, we couldn’t believe our
luck. (Truth be told, I’m the one who really lucked out, as I was out of town while my
roomies hunted for places we could make into our own. Thank god for their amazingly,
good taste and Luxe Villas). Our cozy little abode for the past two years
has left a sweet spot in my heart. And boy am I going to miss it. The
cabin-like, wooden ceilings that give our apartment so much character. The
brand, spankin’ new appliances (including a washer & dryer!!!). Our
kitchen, naturally flooded with sunlight from the wall of windows that lines
the front. The perfect breakfast bar, our go-to spot for chatting. Oh! And the fact that our three dear girlfriends live
directly below us. Can you say perfection!?! (ok, ok, ok, I know… nothing is
perfect, but this set up has been a
dream come true!). I think I’m even going to miss our small, awkward, tandem
parking spaces that we have to reverse into just to be able to park and get our
cars out the next morning. Being able to walk to our neighborhood spin studio.
Living down the street from Peet’s Coffee, Whole Foods and even an out-of-this
world expensive, yet conveniently-located dry cleaner. Yep, I’m going to miss
it all.
Our little bubble for the past two years has been so much fun and
allowed me to grow so much closer to four very sweet women. And now as the next
season of life approaches, we’re all off on new adventures (though our
friendships will most definitely continue to grow, even if we’re not living at
the grill anymore!). Next up: Moving. Into an enchanting, charming, cozy little
place not too far down the street, a tiny bit closer to the ocean. With K. And
boy, oh boy, am I excited! It has been a blast (and admittedly, at times, a tiny
bit trying) to hunt for furniture, dishes, pillows, bedding, and artwork that
meshes well with both of our styles. I
can’t wait to get settled into our first little home together. Cheers!
So excited for you! I can't wait to see the cozy little home you guys make
