Catching Up!!

It’s been 2 whole months since the last time I posted… holy moly!! Now that I am back on the blogging band wagon, I have lots to catch up and share… Some of the highlights that have been keeping me busy:

• Spent an early morning before work (circa 6:45 am!) enjoying breakfast with four new BFFs (all under the age of 13) and none other than Justin Bieber himself!!! Long story short: my sweet friend Alex won a “breakfast with Justin Bieber” contest on KIIS FM with Ryan Seacrest. She invited me to join her and we had a blast.

• Relaxed and soaked up tons of sun in Kauai for EIGHT days with my family. K and I felt so spoiled to tag along on the most incredible trip with my family over Easter. Hoping to repeat next year and make this trip a new tradition, pretty please?!?

• Enjoyed this and this by the poignant and hysterically funny author, Anne Lamott. About to start reading this and can’t wait to see what’s in store! She writes such relatable stories, full of so many truths, I find it hard to book her books down at night. Thanks for the perfect recommendation, Mom :)

•  Gifted this beautiful stationary to a few special women in my life. Isn’t it the cutest? And it made it all the way to my little doorstep in LA from across the pond, London. Check it out here!
• Found a little, quaint apartment for K and I (more to come on that later!!)
• Drank my first mint julep (thanks Walle!) in honor of the Kentucky Derby. To authentically enjoy the event, my girlfriends and I were decked out in our summer dresses and over-sized hats, cheering wildly for our favorite horses to win. Better luck next year, Creative Cause!

• Rang in K's 24th birthday over a deliciously, HUGE meal at Fogo de Chao. K was in heaven.
• Believe-it-or-not, made my first very own batch of pancakes. Isn’t that strange? I tend to only eat pancakes when I am at my parent’s house up north and my dad or brothers whip up a batch. Proud to say that my first batch was a success.

• Celebrated my dear friend’s amazing accomplishment (graduating with her Master’s degree TOMORROW!) with a delicious brunch Sunday morning. Yum!
• Received the most exciting news on Monday evening: my best, best friend is ENGAGED!!! I am so happy for both her and E and cannot wait to get up to SF to celebrate and gush with her about being a bride :)
